SUMMARY:Youth HOPE Month
DESCRIPTION:Youth HOPE Month is here!  It is a re-branding from National Runaway Prevention and Homeless Youth Awareness Month to Youth Homelessness Outreach Prevention and Education Month – Youth HOPE Month. \nYouth HOPE Month shines light on issues facing young people who are considering leaving home or have run away and are experiencing homelessness.  In the United States\, 4.2 million youth experience homelessness; and in Los Angeles County\, on any given night\, 3\,000 youth experience street homelessness. \nAlthough the statistics may be discouraging\, we have a lot to be hopeful about because we are at the center of hope. More than 1\,200 young people come through SOH’s doors annually for crisis resolution and leave with mentorship\, support systems\, and social capital. \nWe have a big ASK.  The ask is that you get involved and participate in Youth HOPE Month by following SOH’s social media and setting up alerts and attending our in-person events.
