On October 22, 2015, at Lavender Blue, Sanctuary of Hope celebrated 5 years of providing youth development services to Transition Age Youth. This fundraiser supported the organizations’ homeless youth, college access and retention, and social justice programs.
The following were honored for their significant contribution to Sanctuary of Hope: Los Angeles County Supervisor, Mark Ridley-Thomas; Rev. Kelvin Sauls, Holman United Methodist Church; Dr. Dione Washington, Los Angeles Trade Tech College; Ann McKenna, Ann J. and Edward P. McKenna Foundation, and Joey, Solomon. Honorees received a print designed by Julia Jones, a college student at Otis College and Sanctuary of Hope participant.
Actor, comedian, and screenwriter, Suli McCullough hosted the event. The renowned jazz guitarist, Jacques Lesure and his trio provided musical entertainment.
