Community partnerships are essential to the work we do to stabilize youth experiencing homelessness. Through Los Angeles City Mayor Garcetti’s Days of Compassion, the Zen Center of Los Angeles and Word of Encouragement Church were linked with SOH to provide four Welcome Home Baskets for youth moving into permanent housing.
The staff of SOH are thankful to the Zen Center and Word of Encouragement Church for responding to the clarion call for assistance as we work to end youth homelessness by 2020.
Welcome Home Baskets like these help young people get off to a good start in their new homes. Our youth know that there are people in the community who care and are rooting for their success.
