This #GivingTuesday, we ask that you make a financial gift to our leadership development trip to Southern Africa. We are taking 10 young emerging leaders December 25, 2019 to January 6, 2020 to South Africa and Zimbabwe. Our delegation will meet local township and youth leaders, engage in dinner coversations with the Mandela family and the Mandela Foundation, visit historical sites, and go on a safari. In February 2020, there will be a community report back session of their experience and how they intend to advance racial equity.
For the final stage of getting “leader-ready”, our delegation is wrapping up reading “Born A Crime” by Trevor Noah and have completed visits to the travel clinic in preparation for the transatlantic cultural and spiritual awakening. We hope that you will be able to support their potential and promise by donating online here or mailing a check to Sanctuary of Hope, P.O. Box 431038, Los Angeles, CA 90043 with “Africa Trip” in the memo section.
“We tell people to follow their dreams, but you can only dream of what you can imagine, and, depending on where you come from, your imagination can be quite limited.”
-Trevor Noah, “Born A Crime”
