In early March, Sanctuary of Hope hosted a Southern Africa Community Report Back at Holman United Methodist Church to inform donors and the community of their winter trip around intersectionality and racial equity. Guests engaged in an interactive visual of photos, videos, and panel discussion – even live drummers. The Southern Africa trip is part of Sanctuary of Hope’s Destination program. The program aims to teach young adults about the global intersections of humanity and to help young people build skills through travel that will lead to improvements in their personal development, career aspirations, and post-secondary attainment.
Below is a recap of the panel presentation.
