The youth and staff of Sanctuary of Hope thank the Regalettes, Inc. for inviting us to attend their Afternoon All White Affair and program mention at the Skirball Cultural Center on Sunday, August 21. Entertainment for the event was provided by the legendary R & B group the Whispers with Pat Prescott of 94.7 The WAVE as the Mistress of Ceremonies.
The Regalettes Inc. was founded 58 years ago to enhance the quality of life of minority communities through cultural activities, community outreach, and by providing college scholarships to deserving disadvantaged students. They have awarded over $550,000 in scholarships; and student recipients have been able to move to college completion based on their 95% graduation rate. A list of honorees included: Darrel Brown, Senior Vice President of US Bank Greater Los Angeles Coastal Region: Dr. Clark E. Parker, Sr. and Dr. Jeanette Parker, Founders of Today’s Fresh Start Charter School and Golden Day Schools: and Patricia Wiliams and Nicole Enearu, multiple McDonald’s Franchise Owners
We look forward to a collaborative partnership with the Regalettes to improve the lives of foster youth in SOH’s programs.
