It takes a village to welcome home a youth who has experienced homelessness. In late March, SOH permanently housed four amazing youth through the Rapid Rehousing program. With new found stability, they can realize their potential and promise.

An apartment is not a home without a housewarming and incidentals to get started. Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson of Los Angeles City’s 8th District provided house warming gifts and some words of inspiration and motivation to encourage the youth that the City is doing everything possible to end youth homelessness.

Ending youth homelessness requires a village of partnerships. Long Beach Affordable Housing Coalition provided available housing units. The RightWay Foundation continued employment and counseling services. And, A Sense of Home furnished the apartments of foster youth.

We thank everyone in the village. With you, we can end youth homelessness by 2020.
