There is always a sense of accomplishment when a goal is met. Holman United Methodist Church dedicated two of their Sunday Services to celebrate completing the 10/60 Challenge with Sanctuary of Hope. The 10/60 Challenge was a purpose-driven effort to house 10 youth experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity and provide them with Welcome Home Baskets. In a sermon entitled From Here To There, Rev. Kelvin Sauls, Senior Pastor of Holman United Methodist Church talked about how a Lenten season commitment helped everyone reach the goal.
One of Sanctuary of Hope’s beneficiaries was on hand to share his story of homelessness and to thank the congregation for helping him get settled in.
