During a recent Sister Village Cohort session at Hope Place AV, participants were fully engaged as they worked through the Side Hustle Starter Kit workbook. The session created a supportive space for moms to reflect, learn, and take meaningful steps toward financial empowerment.
Each mom identified her own areas of overspending and talked through a realistic, sustainable budget plan that fits her current season of life. From there, the group brainstormed side hustles they’ve already tried—or hope to explore—sharing ideas, lessons learned, and encouragement along the way.
For pregnant and newly postpartum moms, learning ways to earn income from home is especially essential. Being able to contribute financially while caring for a pregnancy or tending to small children can make a significant difference in maintaining stability and reducing stress. That’s why this workshop was such an important part of the cohort experience.
To close out the session, the moms created a collective Side Hustle Dream Board, visualizing their goals and committing to hold one another accountable through weekly check-ins. We also kicked off a friendly side hustle challenge—the mom who earns the most by the end of the cohort will win a special prize!
Moments like these reflect the power of community, shared learning, and mutual support. We’re proud of the Sister Village Cohort for showing up with intention, creativity, and determination as they build pathways toward economic independence.
